Hornet Aluminum Honeycomb Pen Blank
Looking for a one of a kind blank? The blanks are made by Joshua Newnam (bio below) and are made with resin and aluminum honeycomb. These are awesome blanks and take on a hornet theme for their finished look. These are for experienced turners only and require patience, lots of CA glue after every several passes, and carbide tools. These blanks may also have some voids that will need to be filled. Ends will need to be squared off using a sanding disc and not a pen mill.
About Josh: In 2014, I was injured in the USAF. While waiting to be medically discharged, I had the opportunity to make a pen in a woodturning class. After that first pen, I fell in love. Once discharged from the military, I bought a lathe and started making pens. After making hundreds of pens, I decided to start making my own pen blanks. I started making pen blanks over two years ago and only make my blanks out of the best resins and colors on the market to ensure your project is nothing but exceptional.
